Here I'll show you an RP trial to the people who are new to it.
First off, at this site we role play in third person, so no I's.
This is Wiki's definition of it:
"In role playing, participants adopt and act out the role of characters, or parts, that may have personalities, motivations, and backgrounds different from their own. Role playing is like being in an improvisational drama or free-form theater, in which the participants are the actors who are playing parts, and the audience.
People use the phrase "role-playing" in at least three distinct ways:
to refer to the playing of roles generally such as in a theater, or educational setting;
to refer to a wide range of games including computer role-playing games, play-by-mail games and more;
or to refer specifically to role-playing games. "
Another rule to rps is that there is no double posting.
Just so to give other people a chance.
Also, unless you have permission, you should only be using your character. It maintains the multi player of the RP.
If you ever need to bring something up not about the RP, type ooc: (out of character). If you done not being on topic, start playing by going down a few lines or do IC: (In Character).
Now here's an RP I've worked on, just a small part:

"Um... okay. Hey Marsi! Come here!" After Marsi climbed into the basket next to Korkoa, he cut the rope, sending them plumeting towards the ground. "It's okay Marsi. Just hold on." After they stopped, Korkoa grabbed Marsi, and jumped out of the basket. "Ceilo! Wait, can you tell me where that nest is?"
(See how it's just a little part? Now here's the next post)

Marsi squealed in delight as she dropped to the ground and was a little disappointed when the ride ended. She clambered out of the basket and sat in the dirt, drawing little pictures in the soft earth that were supposed to be her, Korkoa and Celio, but actually looked like sticks and rocks put into place by an inexperienced artist
(Starting to see how it works? Pay attention to how this next one ties in with the last 2)

I'm going there now," Talmarka replied while scribbling down notes on his notepad. 'Suspend time on ground,' he wrote down in plain English. "What do think of my 'convenience' system? I've installed it in several baskets, all in my spare time-what the heck?" he said looking down at Marsi. Cielo was always being astonished by saurians, but he never observed this type of behavior. "Tell me, where did you learn to do that?"
(Now here it is all together)

OOC: I think they should get lost. But then again, Korkoa should know his way around the Basin. Maybe we should go with the partners idea.
IC: Korkoa sighed as the baby wimpered when it saw his face. "-BLAM!-o." He said in what little Hebivore Saurian he knew. "I. Korkoa. Friend. I help save you. Understand?" He switched back to Basic. "By the way," He said to the Human. "What's your name? I'm Korkoa."
